This is the first I have ever even heard of “The Way Things Go.” I thought it was very interesting but after I watched a few cycles, I was ready to change the channel. It just kept going on and on and on. I felt kind of claustrophobic watching it. I wanted the camera to back up & give some different angles so I could see the entire warehouse or wherever it was filmed. Is it art? Most definitely! Very creative art using common objects for most of it. I was not surprised to find out that “The Way Things Go” has had quite an influence on a number of different things including games and a Honda commercial.
I cannot narrow down my favorite movie to just one but an all time favorite that I never get tired of watching is “The Sound of Music.” I watched it for the first time as a young kid and have since traveled to Switzerland and hiked the alps! It is a true story and the entire family with all those kids had to hike through the alps to escape. I did think about them when I hiked there and also wanted to find some of the specific scenery and places which were in the movie.
