I have no experience with either “Choose Your Own Adventure Books Series,” or Dungeons and Dragons. What a sheltered person I have been! I have heard of Dungeons and Dragons but have never heard of “Choose Your Own Adventure Books Series” until this class. I wish I would have known about them because I really like the concept. I did some research on them and read a lot of reviews from people of all ages who had read the books. They were all positive reviews and quite different from one another. Some readers spoke of getting killed after making the wrong choice but tried again to see what their next quest would bring. It became apparent to me that these books are fun and addictive because there are so many options for an outcome. There would be endless fun with the option of any of the seven quests.

These forms of storytelling create agency because as you read the book, you are attempting to do whatever it takes to get to the next step of whichever quest is trying to be accomplished. Agency is defined as “Action or intervention, especially such as to produce a particular effect.”
“Draw to Win” states that no matter what your business, organization or team does to operate, it’s likely that your true vision or destination falls into one of the seven classic quests. It states, “Find the quest and you’ve found your vision.
From the seven classic quests listed, mine would be “Working to be reborn as a better person.” My mission patch might contain something related to improving mind, body, soul and something related to helping people.
